First step on the road to slender

My first weigh in just before my holiday was a surprise (16/08) - I'd lost 2lbs. Don't ask me how, it was totally unexpected, but I was glad not to have gained!

Of coure that was before I totally let diet and fitness rest peacefully in the un-tapped corner at the back of my mind for 2 weeks while I had a fantastic holiday and birthday in the States, then came back to my 30th birthday party and my friend's wedding.

So - now that I'm back in the real world I will be weighing myself again this evening to assess the damage and the starting work on my transformation in earnest.

In the states I saw the infomercial for the Insanity workout and decided to order it; however on reflection I thought it micht be a bit too hardcore for someone as unfit as me so I checked out the Beachbody website to see what other workouts they do and I found out about Chalene Johnson's Turbo programmes.

I've ordered Turbo Jam and Turbo Fire - I'm going to start with Jam and then once I'm a bit fitter move on to Fire.

My short term goal is to fit into the gorgeous purple dress I've deliberately bought a size too small for my brother's wedding on 20th October.
