Weight Loss Goal

My aim is to lose a total of 4 stone (56 lb) over the next 18 months or so.

I'm starting out at 14stone (196 lbs) so if I meet this goal I will end up at 10 stone (140 lbs) - but to be honest I am going to be more concerned about how I look and feel in clothes. If I get back into a UK size 12 (US 8) I may stop there because I don't want to get too skinny - I like having womanly curves.

It's been a rocky week

So tomorrow it will be time for my first weigh in.
I haven't managed to get myself into a healthy eating routine yet and I'm therefore not tracking what I eat.
I'll  be weighing in at Weight Watchers and it seems a bit weird to be joining the week before I head off on holiday but hopefully I will pick up some tips on how not to GAIN while I'm away. Then I can focus on losing weight once I'm back.

Starting Weigh In

Today I weighed myself to get my official starting weight. It's 14 stone (196 lbs).

I plan to weigh in once per week at a Weight Watchers meeting and I'm going to start going this Thursday at lunch time (to a meeting near my office).

The picture that started it all

I have decided to blog about my weight loss because I was taking a photo for another blog earlier this week and when I saw it I was horrified - I thought it looked awful and it made me decide that I must do something about this weight.

So as of tomorrow I am on a mission to fix my unhealthy eating habits and step up the exercise.
